About Us
Our Mission Statement: “To assist in developing, maintaining, and increasing the facilities and/or services of the Dekalb County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for better and broader service to its residents.”
As our community’s senior population continues to grow and people are living longer, the DeKalb County Nursing Home Foundation remains committed to supporting the changing needs of older adults throughout DeKalb County. The transition from independent living to a care setting can be challenging and may affect a person’s emotional, physical, and cognitive well-being. Opportunities for social engagement, recreation, and meaningful activities play an important role in helping residents stay active, connected, and engaged during this transition.
Through the generosity of donors and community partners, the Rehab and Nursing Center is able to continue providing these valuable programs and services while exploring innovative ways to address the evolving needs of residents.
A contribution to the DeKalb County Nursing Home Foundation is an investment in the health, comfort, and quality of life of those we serve. Every gift directly benefits residents and helps ensure they receive the highest quality care and support. We are grateful for every contribution and for the community’s ongoing commitment to our residents’ well-being.
What We Do
The DeKalb County Nursing Home Foundation serves as a dedicated partner in supporting the residents, programs, and long-term needs of the DeKalb County Rehab and Nursing Center. The Foundation receives, manages, and invests charitable contributions designated for the Center, ensuring that donor gifts are used responsibly and effectively to enhance the quality of life and care provided to residents.
Through careful stewardship of these funds, the Foundation distributes financial support to the Rehab and Nursing Center as needs arise, helping to fund programs, equipment, resident activities, facility enhancements, and other initiatives that may not be fully covered through traditional operating resources. By investing in both current and future needs, the Foundation helps ensure that residents continue to benefit from a safe, comfortable, and enriching environment.
The Foundation also works to build strong connections between the Center and the community, encouraging individuals, families, businesses, and organizations to support the well-being of local seniors. Every contribution helps strengthen the Center’s ability to provide compassionate, high-quality care and meaningful opportunities for the residents it serves.
